Cate West: The Vanishing Files Review
|
Cate West is an author who has a high level of ESP. Holding objects can reveal to her things about their owners, and the police engage her to help them discover the whereabouts of crime suspects. There are 15 separate cases in the game, and the tasks you must complete to help Cate solve each mystery are interesting and varied. As well as classic hidden object puzzles, you also have to compare photographs of places with Cate's visions of them in order to spot the differences, and eliminate suspects in a Guess Who? like way in order to find the guilty person who fits all the clues.
Try Out The Free Cate West: The Vanishing Files Demo Today Cate West - The Vanishing Files has wonderfully atmospheric music which draws you in right from the start. The graphics are magnificent and I loved the way the characters and scenery from the story sections were drawn in a fresher, simpler style than the hidden object puzzle screens, because they made a change from the slightly claustrophobic feel of these bizarre, complex pictures full of random clutter.
Play The Unlimited Version For Just $19.95 This game compares very favourably with other hidden object games. I immediately liked the characters and found the story engaging. It keeps you going with regular hits of accomplishment as you solve each individual mystery and see a criminal tried and banged up before moving on to the next one. It's great play value with 15 cases, and enough variety of gameplay to keep you interested even if you're not a dyed in the wool hidden object spotter. It's also fun to play together, my partner and I have been. Now, where was that fish? I must find it before he does... |
