You can't go wrong with MahJong. It is simply great fun to match those tiles and see the stack gradually disappear. Personally, once I start I find it hard to stop. So Hotel MahJong Deluxe is treading safe territory here. Having said that, it's a good example of this type of game and I enjoyed playing it very much.

The concept is similar to Hotel Solitaire: you work your way through the 20 floors of the hotel finding a different MahJong game to play in each room. There are plenty to satisfy the most avid player, and they vary from classic MahJong to different twists on the game. The staff look slightly alarming and the music is repetitive, but once you get stuck in you won't care.

An interesting feature is the meter at the side of the screen which goes up the faster you play, and drops when you slow down. You have to try and play faster in order to make this meter reach the top, then bingo! You get a bonus score or an extra shuffle or hint. This keeps the pace up and adds to the fun of the playing experience. |
