Pet Shop Hop is a new time management game in which the main character, Cassie, is trying to save her grandfather's business from failing. The new Megapet Superstore opening in the town will be harsh competition so Cassie needs to put her vet school studies on hold and work at improving the little pet shop before it's too late.

The game looks colourful and cute but compared to some others of this genre there is little variation in the customers, and their facial expressions don't change. Neither, for that matter, does the main character's. It adds a lot when they have comic expressions. Many of the animals just sit still too, and the developers missed a trick in not adding more animation.

You start the game just selling three different colours of fish and trying to serve customers quickly to meet financial targets. As you progress through the game you can spend your profits on expanding the range of pets stocked and adding new features to the shop, such as carpet and an automatic door, to make it more appealing. You need to make sure, in between keeping customers happy, that all the pets are fed and cleaned out regularly, so the gameplay involves juggling tasks and keeping your eye on the ball, and it's fun seeing your little pet shop grow and succeed. |
