Virtual Villagers 2 Review
|
Virtual Villagers 2: The Lost Children follows on directly from the first game in the series. Two of your villagers have found a way to another part of the island, and because the way involved falling down a high waterfall they cannot get back. Here they find a whole group of children whose parents and guardians seem to have disappeared. They need help to survive, and so our two adults set to work to establish the makings of a new settlement on the west side of the island.
Try Out The Free Virtual Villagers 2 Demo Today The mechanics of playing this game are exactly the same as Virtual Villagers, so it is very easy to get into if you have played the first one. The location and characters are new, and so you have the chance to explore a new beach and go fishing and research new plants, and you have to encourage your villagers, just as before, to learn, research and hone skills such as farming, building and healing. Not to mention making babies.
Play The Unlimited Version For Just $19.99 These games are fascinating, but slow, to play. Just like the first game, Virtual Villagers 2 plays in real time, so you go in, help the villagers along a little, give them a nudge in the right directions, then nothing happens very quickly so after a while you get bored of watching them potter about and you leave them to it. Later you visit them again to see how they're getting on. Hopefully they'll be thriving, as the whole goal of the game is to keep them happy and healthy. It's a feel-good activity, nurturing this little community and encouraging cooperation and useful work, and I do find these games appealing and addictive. Better end now as I want to pay some little folk a visit... |
